About Gabrielle Garza
Gabrielle Garza is a singer/actress from Chicago, Illinois. Having gotten her start in theater touring the US and Canada in the Tony Winning musical Spring Awakening, she brings a sense of theatricality and showmanship to her performances. After settling back in Chicago she carved a space for herself in the cover band circuit, singing a variety of styles and genres. It is this ability that allows her to infuse her vocals with a thrilling blend of pop, rock, disco, soul and r&b.
She draws inspiration from the 70’s disco darlings like Donna Summer, Debbie Harry and Gloria Gayner as well as finding kinship in modern artists like Dua Lipa, Carly Rae Jepson and Miley Cyrus. Her debut single “Lonely Dreams” draws on all these artists to create something that calls on nostalgia while still feeling relevant and fresh.
On developing her vocal style “I have been so fortunate to be exposed to all different types of music, from classic Rock to Motown to modern pop, even Mariachi and other Spanish languages styles. I was able to take from all of these to really fuse and create something that felt uniquely personal to me”
